Romeo and Juliet.
There’s something about the Romeo and Juliet statue outside of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, NYC. Wonderful work of art.

Imagine.
Purchased the Fuji XT1 while living in NYC for a few months. First full day out with it in Central Park, made my way to the Strawberry Fields memorial. So much can be said with one simple word.

Photographing a photographer photographing a couple. Taken in Central Park, NYC. Just picked up the Fuji X-T1 and was taking some time to get used to it.
And this is why you always want a quality lens hood. Luckily this little fella took the brunt of it and the camera is fine. Iceland 1 - Leica Q3 0

“Someday I’ll be gone and you’ll be me, asking yourself this same question … ‘how will you carry on this legacy?'”
Heard some shit news today, was feeling pretty down and this, for reasons unknown, helped. As a fan of the the quality, craftsmanship and artistry of Leica, the video delivers. Maybe that’s part of it, too. A beautiful execution to be appreciated, even when things go south IRL.
Some throwback photos of office art from yesteryear. This is what happens when you find a conference room with two tape dispensers or a series of windows that have blinds that refuse to stay straight … and then add designers into the mix.

This morning, I woke up to a gentle jingling sound … which happened to be Juno discovering the zipper on my hoodie. Belated #Caturday
Every year, we say “never forget” yet I think it’s inevitable that we will … but not today, not this year. 🍎
I am constantly reminded of how amazing our UX team is, both in quality of work and character. If you are a hiring manager, I can’t stress enough the importance of putting effort into the hiring process. Getting the right people opens the door to moments of delight and joy.
Dramatically lit Juno is very dramatic indeed. Bit of a late #Caturday post.
Got to see my first Premier League football match tonight in Philly … even managed to be the team I support, Liverpool FC. Amazing experience seeing Mo Salah score and lead the reds to a 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Great brunch at the local pub. Good food. Good beer. Good people.

An afternoon free of work and a break in the insanely hot / humid weather … perfect for a trip to the winery!

Such a serious little Juno on #Caturday.
Had this little bird feeder out for a few months now and this little guy finally found it. A few minutes later, Ringo the cat discovered the show and has been glued to the door watching ever since.
Tom Smothers made me realize there was more to a yo-yo than just “up and down”. While only ever to pick up the basics, I still have my YoYo Man yo-yo. Worn and glued back together, several strings later. The world is less cool now.
A grey Sunday morning of lingering dreams and the sound of rain. Mrs Potter’s Lullaby by the Counting Crows at home in my head, “if dreams are like movies, then memories are films about ghosts”. Put it together and it all feels right, fitting in some way.
Juno is not overly impressed with #Caturday so far. Might be time to see what kitty’s first Xmas tree does to her mood. Fingers crossed she doesn’t kill her self with it.

Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space
And meaning.”
